Somehow I completely missed out on this guy when I was a teenaged bookworm and glam rock fan. He is probably one of the better modern southern/white trash writers and personas I've read in a while. I like a lot of his ideas about writing and his fixation with Graham Greene's work. I like a lot of his ideas about the role of the writer as a moralist whose own morals are questionable and the idea of a writer forcing the reader to make a moral judgement about the characters, whether the reader wants to or not.
